The Department of Labor and Employment-7 has recently released livelihood grants to Kabuhayan beneficiaries Actfree Farmers Association of El Pardo, Boljoon, Cebu and to San Antonio Farmers Association of Barangay San Antonio.

DOLE-7 said that the amount granted will be used to restore the projects of the beneficiaries after Typhoon Odette struck them on December 16, 2021.

The livelihood funds were released led by DOLE-7 OIC-assistant regional director Emmanuel Y. Ferrer and DOLE-Cebu Provincial Field Office OIC-Vivencio E. Lagahid, to both groups collectively amounted to P1,440,600.

Meanwhile, DOLE-7 clients can now view the series of Mini-Labor Education discussions live daily as Labor Tik Talk.

This latest innovation of the regional office under the leadership of OIC-regional director Lilia A. Estillore is done live on Facebook.

The “Tik Talkers” or the discussants comprise the heads of the field offices, divisions, and units or their representatives, who will take turns in discussing various topics on General Labor Standards; Occupational Safety and Health Standards; and other social legislations.

Estillore sees communication as a vital tool in informing and educating the public about the DOLE’s programs and services.

Labor Tik Talk started on July 11, 2022 and is done live on Facebook from Monday to Friday either at 10:30 AM or 1:30 PM.

Labor Tik Talk, Estillore said, will provide the viewers an opportunity to bring up concerns and queries and get real time answers from the Tik Talkers.
