As designers and fashion labels are working with vibrant color bases for new designs, make up trends are also following suit. In particular, two of the world’s leading players in the in the beauty and fashion fields have been keeping up.

ZARA’S “SURREAL SUMMER 2022”

Global fast fashion brand Zara recently rolled out the “Surreal Summer 2022” look book for Zara Beauty – the brand’s cosmetics line which it introduced in 2021.

Developed by makeup artist and Zara Beauty creative director Diane Kendal, the editorial-themed look guide was made in collaborat­ion with photograph­er Elizaveta Porodina and models Michelle and Ajok. The look book pretty much articulate­s the color motifs which the brand is pushing for this season that entails vibrant shades for lipstick, metallic tones for nails and dabs of daring hues for the eyes.

CHANEL’S “THE SKY, THE SUN, AND THE SEA”

Pastel shades ranging from coral pink to vibrant green make up Chanel’s in-season nail polish line billed “The Sky, The Sun, and The Sea” collection, which was recently unveiled by the brand via a fashion campaign that features models Vittoria Ceretti and Blesnya Minher.

Composed of the colors “Rose Coquillage,” “Blanc Écume,” “Pastel Sand,” “Moon Shell,” “Cap Corail” and “Sea Sea Green,” the line also features a base coat named “La Base Camélia” and a nail oil named “L’Huile Camélia” which touts hydrating and fortifying properties.

The collection also features the Rouge Coco Bloom hydrating lipstick series which highlights lipstick shades in intense color choices that tout long-lasting finishes. When combined, the lipstick and nail polish embody an endless summer vibe that vibrantly pops out.
