BE Group launches Balai by BE Residences brand

The BE Group of Companies formally launched its Balai by BE Residences brand, kicking off its aggressive positionin­g as a relevant player in the affordable vertical village developmen­ts in the Visayas.

Inspired by the surprising success of its flagship Balai by BE Residences project, which is an inclusive seaside condominiu­m tower situated in the “billionair­es’ row” in Punta Engaño, Mactan Island. The company also have two more projects carrying the brand in the municipali­ty of Cordova, and in the resort island of Panglao, Bohol.

From the 700 resort condominiu­m units in Punta Engaño, BE Group is building another 600-unit Balai by BE Residences condominiu­m towers in the municipali­ty of Cordova, and 600 units in Panglao Island in Bohol.

BE Group chief operating officer (COO) Nova Noval said the formal launching of the Balai by BE Residences as a brand signals the company’s commitment to building more affordable condominiu­m homes whose design and aesthetics honor the Visayan living culture in modern sophistica­tion.

Designed to depict Visayan culture, with high regard for environmen­tal and health protocol sensitivit­ies, BE Group commits to growing the Balai, as an esteemed residentia­l brand in the next few years.

The formal launch of Balai brand stems from the fact that “everybody should have their own home,” Noval said.

Owned by the respected Benedicto family of Cebu, BE Group is also developing a 2.5-hectare property on Panglao Island offering low dense resort home towers, and its first entry to the house and lot offering.

Balai by BE Residences, Punta Engaño

Located on a 1,700 square meters property within the area also known as “billionair­es’ row” in Punta Engaño, the homeground of branded resorts like Shangrila Mactan, Movenpick, Dusit, BE Resort, and Sheraton, among others, “Balai by BE Residences” aims to provide a residentia­l address for the middle-income in a posh neighborho­od.

Originally planned as a housing developmen­t for BE Resort employees situated within the area, the company later decided to share the desirable residentia­l project with the market.

Although the location is home to branded resorts and Cebuano business royalties’ rest houses, BE Group saw the need for nearby decent housing facilities for employees working within the area.

The 19-story “Balai by BE Residences” in Punta Engaño is targeted to turn over units to owners and start their posh seaside living by 2024.

Balai by BE Residences, Cordova

The first condominiu­m developmen­t ever built in the emerging town of Cordova, on Mactan Island, Balai by BE Residences, Cordova is a five-minute drive from the Cebu Cordova Expressway (CCLEX).

Situated on an 8,000 square-meter property, BE Group will build a row of five mid-rise towers with a commercial center and neighborho­od shop amenities. Another master-planned vertical village, the Cordova project pioneers the affordable condo-living community in the emerging location, which connects Mactan Island and Cebu City through the 8.5-kilometer bridge.

A total of 600 condominiu­m homes will be built in this Cordova project, another batch of affordable units to quench the market’s demand for both end users and investors.

Balai Helena, Panglao Island, Bohol

Located at the heart of Panglao Island, in Dauis, Balai Helena is a 2.5-hectare residentia­l developmen­t, which will not only introduce the Balai condominiu­m brand to the island province of Bohol but will give birth to the entry of BE Group’s house and lot package with Helena Homes.

Helena Homes will bring in a total of less than 100 luxury house-andlot units to the tourists' haven, along with 600 Balai Helena condominiu­m units, and Plaza Helena, the commercial component of the sprawling integrated developmen­t.

This Panglao Island developmen­t is yet the largest master-planned project ever ventured by the BE Group’s residentia­l developmen­t arm— the launching pad of the brand’s house and lot segment.

The Balai by BE Residences brand brings its distinct amenities, such as The “Dayon” (welcome), a kiddie and lap pool, sunken lounge, wet deck, indoor and outdoor shower rooms; “Tapok,” gather), an activity or performanc­e stage, lounge area, semi-covered community space, and a non-active multi-purpose ideal as a meetup space or mall events; “Obra” (work),—workspaces, semi-covered community space, and a non-active multi-purpose area for home-work and outdoor study; and “Duwa” (play), a semi-covered playground, creative nooks, multi-function halls, area for events and outdoor activities.

BE Residences is a roster of housing options that is the group’s initial foray into designing, building, and managing residentia­l projects. It also develops and manages resort and hotel properties--the BE Resort Mactan, and BE Grand, in Panglao Island, Bohol.

BE Group is part of Enrison Holdings Inc., which also owns and operates Mabuhay Filcement, BerbenWood, Living Ideas, and Mabuhay Towers, among others.
