Alleged hitman falls in a anti-drug operation

Alleged hitman of drug personalit­ies in Cebu City was arrested in a buy-bust operation Monday night on Gil Tudtud Street, Barangay Mabolo.

The operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcemen­t Unit of Mabolo Police Station led by Police Major Eraño Regidor.

The suspect was identified as John Clifford Nanoy alias Epoy, 26, resident of sitio Lawis, Barangay Pasil, Cebu City.

According to Regidor, the chief of the Mabolo Police Station, he knew the suspect who would kill those having debts from drug dealers of their illegal business.

“Nganong kaila ta niya kay katong ako pay hepe sa Station 6 tulo ang gitira ana human na makatira mosakay na og pumpboat adto na sa Caohagan adto na motago kung naa na pud tirahon allegedly mao mana sulti niya naa siya tirahon bayran siya og 20 mil makaigo sibat na pud siya ang iya amo tua sa sulod (prisohan),” said Regidor.

Regidor said that he is also the suspect in Barangay Carreta but he is not the one who shot but his back up while he is positively identified as the one who shot in Barangay Pasil.

“Pero diha sa Pasil siya gyud mangunay positive identify sa mga biktima og witnesses ang problema mahadlok kay gibaharan kay moadto og station tirahon,” said Regidor.

According to Regidor, the weapon that was obtained from the suspect will be subjected to ballistic examinatio­n suspecting that it is the one being used on his target.

During the operation, five medium and seven small packs of suspected shabu weighing 25.3 grams, with a standard drug price of P172,380 were found in the bag pouch, along with a .45 caliber firearm including its magazine and six bullets.

He is also the suspect in several shooting incidents in the Pasil area.

In another anti-drug operation, the Regional Police Drug Enforcemen­t Unit of Police Regional Office-7 led by Police Captain Bonifacio Tañola arrested one who is considered a high-value individual Monday night in Doña Rosa, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.

The suspect was identified as Angel Mae Bacalla, 23, a resident of sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, Cebu.

Eleven medium piece and one piece of 25 grams weighing 80 grams worth P544,000 were found in a coin pouch.

Nanoy will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 and RA 10591 while Bacalla will face charges for violation of RA 9165.
