Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company Foundever announced to hire at least 2,400 more people for the first half of 2023, to add to the 7,000 manpower working in its three sites in Cebu.

Formerly known as Sykes Enterprises, Inc., the global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry launched the official unveiling of its rebranding to Foundever in Cebu at its newest hub located at Robinsons Cybergate Galleria Cebu.

The Cybergate hub is its third location in Cebu and the first Foundever™ hub in the Philippines after the global rebrand.

Sykes is the first call center company to open in Cebu in 2003.

“This opening further reinforces its continuous entrepreneurial journey of growth and transformation, first with the acquisition of Sitel in 2015 by Groupe Acticall and most recently with the acquisition of Sykes Enterprises, Inc. in 2021,” said General Manager for Foundever™ in Manila and Cebu, John Sneed in a press briefing.

The hiring of 2,400 more people in just the first semester of 2023 will bring the total headcount of Foundever Cebu operations close to 10,000 people.

According to Foundever director for talent acquisition Mae Blanco, the expansion of head counts in its Cebu operations is to support the company’s growth strategy in providing services to companies all over the world.

“With our new Founderver™ hub, we’re looking forward to further tapping into the exceptional talents in the region so we can deliver even higher levels of productivity and customer experience for the clients we work with across the globe,” added Sneed.

According to Ravi Iyengar, Foundever chief operations officer for Asia Pacific operations, with the recent expansion and establishment of three hubs, Cebu has become one of its most important site destinations in the Philippines.

“We remain optimistic about the potential for even further growth, particularly as the country continues to rebound from the effects of the pandemic,” noted Iyengar.

Apart from its manpower expansion in Cebu, Iyengar also announced that the company

will be launching in Davao within the year.
