Sinulog revelers join Suroy-Suroy Sugbo

After taking part of the Sinulog 2024, hundreds of tourists, foreign and locals alike are expected to explore the northern Cebu via the Suroy-Suroy Sugbo which kicks of its North Escape 2024 today at the Capitol’s Heritage Park.

This is Cebu Province’s flagship program in tourism that participan­ts expect nothing but the best.

It will be a three-day tour with no less than the local government units involved taking care of the guests.

The first day’s itinerary covers Capitol to Daanbantay­an via Consolacio­n, Compostela, Carmen, Sogod, and Medellin.

Consolacio­n takes charge of breakfast, Compostela for snacks in the morning and Sogod in the afternoon as Carmen takes care of lunch and Daanbantay­an for dinner.

From Daanbantay­an, guests will proceed to Bantayan Island.

Before leaving for Bantayan Island though, guests are to drop by the bamboo forest of Medellin then

San Remigio for some morning snacks before going to Sante Fe in Bantayan Island for lunch.

Another town in Bantayan Island, Madridejos will take care of the afternoon snacks and Bantayan town for dinner.

On the third and final day, they will proceed to the Omagieca Mangrove Garden then return to mainland of Cebu where the City of Bogo will receive them for lunch.

It will be a heavier afternoon for the guests on the final day as they proceed to Tabogon, Borbon and Catmon for some snacks as well and will have dinner in Liloan before returning to the Capitol at night for the end of the tour.

All LGUs involved will also have a cultural presentati­on for the guests.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia is expected to lead the charge anew.

Prior to the kickoff, Garcia meticulous­ly go over with the preparatio­ns of the different LGUs to ensure that they prepare well.

This as participan­ts are not only going to go on the must-see tourists’ attraction­s, but also get to taste local delicacies and products and even how they are made via demos.

The LGUs, for their part, promised to level up their hosting, keeping their “best-sellers” while also introducin­g another products and offerings that even repeaters of the tour would still feel like it’s their first time. -—
