As Cebu City celebrates its 87th Charter Day, Cebuanos get free surgery on lumps at the Cebu City Medical Center.

Dubbed, “Ang Tugon sa Bugon: Libreng Operasyon”, the free surgery is in collaboration with CCMC-Sacred Heart Hospital Consortium Department of General Surgery along with the Cebu Medical Society and the Philippine College of Surgeons - Cebu Eastern Visayas Chapter.

Cases included are those lumps in breast, intestine, thyroid, gallbladder, neck, uterus and the ovary.

Other cases may also be included depending on the doctors’ assessment.

For inquiries, one may visit CCMC’s Outpatient Department from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm except holidays and kindly look for Dr. Ryan O. Cabahug.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, CCMC also had two departments reaccredited in their respective organizations for the next three years.

CCMC announced that its Department of Pediatrics secured re-accreditation from the Philippine Pediatric Society.

“A well-deserved recognition for your commitment to maintaining high standards in pediatric care,” CCMC’s post reads.

CCMC’s Department of Internal Medicine also achieved a notable milestone with its re-accreditation with the Philippine College of Physicians.

Such recognition, they said, reflects the said department’s commitment to delivering high quality healthcare while upholding standards of excellence in internal medicine.

Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama envisions CCMC as a “poor man’s hospital with a rich man services” which he wants to be completed soon. -
