Fate for people born in the Year of the Dragon

-

As Catholics, do we commit a mortal sin if and when we believe in Chinese mythology and in the practice and discipline of feng shui? I forgot to ask Archbishop Jose Palma, when he invited me for breakfast in the Archbishop’s Palace last October, whether it is sacrilegious, sinful, or heretical if we do.

Anyway, this is just for fun, and since I am a Pisces, I am naturally inclined to the occult and am interested in the 12 Chinese signs. I am a Metal Tiger like Archbishop Palma who is also a Pisces. Both of us were born on March 19, 1950. That was partly the reason why he invited me. I told him that on that fateful day, two boys were born; one became a famous servant of the Lord, the other became an unknown sinner. And he retorted: Which one of us is which. And we had a nice laugh over breakfast with his inner circle. We were talking about the big Archdiocese of Cebu, which I told him should be divided into three dioceses. Just as Bohol has two dioceses. Anyway, that is a different story.

If you were born in 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, or 2024, you are a dragon. This year it is the wooden dragon, as there are metal dragons, fire dragons, earth dragons, and water dragons. Dragons are very dynamic people. They are always full of ideas, creativity, and innovations. The best business that dragons

can venture into are restaurants, bars, health clubs, and sports centers. Dragons enjoy meeting people and can be very impressive in their looks and projections. They exude power, charisma, physical attractiveness, and sexual energy. Dragons can succeed in the entertainment industry, in film, TV, and theater. They can also shine in politics and public service.

This year, dragons have many opportunities in business ventures and professional advancements. But they need to be very careful about company politics and office intrigues and rumors. Dragons are the most vulnerable to professional jealousies and career rivalries. In business, dragons must choose their partners well. They should not partner with another dragon; it can mean huge legal suits and financial conflicts. Dragons should avoid those born under the signs of ox, horse, or dog. The best partners are those born under the signs of rabbit, tiger, monkey and pig. When it comes to investments, dragons need the expert advice of experienced businessmen and investors. They should not be impulsive or greedy in venturing into highly-speculative enterprises.

In love, dragons are most compatible with roosters, rats, and monkeys. For friendship, they should bond with a tiger, a pig, or a snake. They should avoid ox, sheep, or dog. As lovers, male dragons are caring, responsible, and considerate but they are overly sensitive and are easily disgruntled when the other person does not live up to dragon's standards and expectations. Female dragons as lovers are loyal, prudent, conscientious, and devoted. To get along with dragons, those born under different signs should have enough patience and tolerance because dragons can be high strung, haughty, and even arrogant.

If you love a dragon, you should praise him or her and feed his or her ego and never put them in a box. If you force them into marriage, they will just walk away. Just wait for them to say so. Dragons are easy to like but difficult to deal with. You need to study their behavioral patterns and if your principles can allow it, just dance with the music and go with the flow. They are not easy to resist and to oppose. They can blow their top and explode. But in their most tender moments they are most lovely and lovable.

“Dragons are easy to like but difficult to deal with.”
