“Globe is dedicated to providing the youth of Visayas and Mindanao with tools and knowledge necessary for their future success. We aim to create a nurturing environment that fosters learning, innovation, and responsible digital citizenship. This effort is a reflection of our commitment to caring for the communities we serve and ensuring that students are equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow,” said Patrick Gloria, VP for External Affairs at Globe.

The Globe Hashira industry-academe program is structured around three core pillars: Atin ang

Opportunity, Atin ang Sustainability, and Atin ang Connectivity. Each pillar is designed to address different aspects of student development.

The Atin ang Opportunity provides students with direct exposure to the corporate world across various industries such as engineering and business, allowing them to gain insights from accomplished leaders and apply their knowledge in real-world settings. In addition, the Training Laboratory component allows handson learning on the latest telecom technology.

According to Gloria, this comprehensive approach ensures that students get both theoretical learning and practical experience, giving them better preparation for their chosen careers.

Meanwhile, the Atin ang Sustainability, emphasizes Globe’s dedication to creating a sustainable future through environmental conservation, community intervention, education, and skills training. A highlight of this pillar is the Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP), which educates students, teachers, and parents on the impact of online behavior and promotes safe and responsible internet use.

The program’s Atin ang Connectivity on the other hand, focuses on enhancing internet access and digital literacy. By improving wired and wireless connectivity in campuses and introducing innovative solutions such as seamless payment through GCash and online consultations via KonsultaMD, Globe is committed to bridging the digital divide and enriching the educational experience of students.

The 15 universities and colleges which are part of the program, includes; Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT), Cebu Technological University (CTU), Central Philippines University, La Salle University Ozamiz, Mapua Malayan Schools Mindanao, Mindanao State University Marawi, Unibersidad de Zamboanga, University of Mindanao Baganga, University of Mindanao Davao, University of Mindanao Digos, University of Mindanao Mati, University of Mindanao Panabo, University of Mindanao Tagum, University of San Carlos, and University of the Philippines-Iloilo

The project signifies Globe’s ongoing effort to support Filipino students, reinforcing its mission to contribute positively to their development and the broader community.

By integrating technology, education, and sustainability initiatives, Globe and its partner institutions are setting a strong foundation for the future of the Filipino youth.

“Our engagement with 15 academic institutions across Visayas and Mindanao is a testament to our commitment to empowering the youth. By offering students direct access to practical knowledge and insights

from accomplished corporate leaders, and opportunities for skills development and career exploration, we prepare them not just for the jobs of today but for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow,” added Globe’s senior manager and regional Human Resource Business partner Aldwin Mahusay.
