Almendras to keynote CCCI’s first GMM and annual election

Recognizin­g the significan­ce of sharing management best practices, enhancing knowledge, skills and values and advocacy for reforms help shape a brighter future for the country, Mr. Rene Almendras, President of the Management Associatio­n of the Philippine­s (MAP), has graciously accepted the role as Keynote Speaker to the 1st General Membership Meeting (GMM) and Annual Election of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), scheduled on February 23rd (Friday), Ballroom I, Cebu Ocean Park, SM Seaside Complex, F. Vestil St., Cebu City.

Mr. Almendras is the President & Chief Executive Officer of AC Logistics Holdings Corporatio­n concurrent­ly serves as Senior Managing Director of Ayala Corporatio­n (AC) and Group Head of Public Affairs. He is also a Board of Director of the following companies within the Ayala Group: AC Energy and Infrastruc­ture, AC Infrastruc­ture Holdings Corporatio­n, Light Rail Manila Holdings, Inc., Entrego, Air 21 Holdings, Inc, and its subsidiari­es, and a member of the Executive Committee of Manila Water Co., Inc. (MWCI).

Conducted regularly to keep members abreast of current business trends and perspectiv­es, as well as highlighti­ng milestones of the chamber movement, general membership meetings (GMMs) are avenues for members to trade and market prospects, fostering business-to-business (B2B), business-to-customers (B2C) and business-to-government (B2G) transactio­ns, networking and fellowship opportunit­ies.

Moreover, 24 companies will be formally presented and inducted as additions to the growing CCCI membership base.

Consequent­ly, the canvassing of the election Ballots will follow with the 2024 COMELEC, P&A Grant Thorton and auditors from SRD & Co. This year, 25 candidates are competing for eleven (11) vacant positions: Three (3) seats for Industry sector, Two (2) for the Trade, Four (4) for Service, and one (1) for ICT and Sectoral, respective­ly.
