Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama told City Hall employees to look into themselves and perform recollection during Holy Week.

Before leaving for an official function in Taiwan yesterday, Mayor Rama joined the City Hall’s flag-raising ceremony and took some time to discuss the second phase of recognition, rightsizing, and recollection.

Mayor Rama told the concerned officers not to forget about the rank and file employees and give due recognition to them and also told department heads to cooperate.

“Ayaw sad mog pagminaot, pag hinakog, tugpa mo!” Mayor Rama said.

The mayor then told employees to reflect on themselves if they deserve their spot in City Hall as they continue to rightsize the city government after it went up to as high as 11,000 employees during the time of Mayor Edgardo Labella.

“Ampo g’yud…Tan-aw mos inyong kaugalingon, angay ba mong mabilin labi na g’yud 2025,” he said.

The mayor also discussed about the 10 commandments of God as well as the Scout law with emphasis on trustworthiness, loyalty, helpfulness, friendliness, and courteousness.

“Wa ko nagkinahanglan loyalty… Loyal unya kawataan, palaaway tapulan, sige’g absent... I want you to be loyal to your God, not Mike Rama… I want you to be loyal to your job, not to Mike Rama… Because if you are loyal to Mike Rama --sipsip mo,” he said.

While he is away, the mayor said he expects everyone at the City Hall to work and behave well and take time to
