Matrade pledges full support for PPP infra project in Laguna

-

The Embassy of Malaysia Trade Office (Matrade) Manila vows to work closely with Malaysian infrastructure and construction giant AlloyMTD to bring new technologies in infrastructure from Malaysia to the Philippines.

AlloyMTD was awarded last year the first-ever public-private partnership (PPP) project in the local government level.

After undergoing various selection process, the Malaysian firm was eventually chosen by the local government of Calamba to build the one-stop shop structure.

The project will involve the construction of a P2.5-billion one-stop shop facility which will house at least 54 government agencies in Laguna.

Once completed, the facility is expected to become the regional office of all government departments in Region IV-A.

With the project’s magnitude, Matrade Manila said it will provide its full support to the Malaysian infrastructure and construction firm to ensure the project’s success.

Matrade Manila said it seeks to make the phrase “Made- In- Malaysia” synonymous with excellence, reliability and trustworthiness as it continues to promote greater trade collaboration between the Philippines and Malaysia.

According to AlloyMTD, the concept of building a one-stop shop facility in Laguna was adopted from Putrajaya in Malaysia.

The one-stop shop facility hopes to provide locals with fast and efficient processing of documents and permits from any government agency by putting all the government departments within one location.

Besides providing support to Malaysian companies in the Philippines, Ma- trade Manila also works on strengthening the business ties between the two countries through various activities and specialized marketing missions it organizes.
