‘Lonesome’ man drinks silver cleaner

A man who had reportedly been lonesome for the past few days ended his loneliness Thursday by drinking a bottle of silver cleaner solution.

Carlo Taure, 27, of Dagat-Dagatan, Navotas was noticeably solitary and lonely at least two days before he committed suicide, his mother told Police Officer 2 Exequiel Sancong. She refused to elaborate.

According to the mother, Taure began drinking liquor outside their house hours before he died. She said that when she checked on him, she saw Taure lying on the floor and foaming at the mouth, a bottle of silver cleaner beside him.

She told police she rushed her son to the Tondo Medical Center, but he died on the way.
