BGC HELPS EMPOWER SCHOOLCHILDREN:

Bonifacio Global City (BGC), through Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation, Inc., took part in the establishment of Silid Booklatan, the newly opened public library in Sitio Uno, Barangay Fort Bonifacio. BGC provided for the supplies to be used by schoolchildren in the library. Present at the turnover held during Passionfest 2012 Bere BGC’s Manny Blas II, barangay ofFcials headed by Chairman Lino Cayetano, and over 100 schoolchildren from Villamor Air Base Elementary School in Pasay, Tenement Elementary School in Taguig, and Bangkal Elementary School and Hen. Pio Del Pilar Elementary School in Makati. After the turnover sponsored by BGC Estate Association and Bonifacio Estate Services Corp. in Bonifacio High Street, the schoolchildren were treated to The Great BGC Outdoors and a tour to The Mind Museum. They were also pleased with the science workshops conducted by the museum’s Mind Movers. Also contributing to Silid Booklatan were Ayala Land, Inc., its subsidiaries Alveo and Makati Development Corp., and the Filipinas Heritage Library, which administered the library system and librarian’s training. Leading the turnover ceremony were Barangay Fort Bonifacio Chairman Lino Cayetano and BGC’s commercial operations head Manny Blas II.
