Pinay tops AsPac dental congress scientific paper tilt
Dr. Maria Shervy Monica Villareal De Cerqueira of the Philippines topped the scientific paper contest of the 37th Asia-Pacific Dental Congress held from April 3 to 5 in Suntec, Singapore which gathered dentists from 28 countries, plus representatives from almost 100 countries.
Scoring 38 out of 40 points for her paper titled “Surgical Techniques for Reformation of the Interimplant Papilla Between Two Adjacent Implants: A Case Series.” She is one of the few Filipinos who earned a postgraduate diploma from The New York University College of Dentistry after completing a comprehensive fouryear Periodontic and Implant Program.
De Cerqueira manages the clinics of Villareal Dental Services in St. Luke’s Global and Asian Hospital. She belongs to a family of dentists who shares the same excellency- driven and responsible approach to ensure best quality treatment to their patients – her father, the legendary Dr. Hermogenes Villareal, former chairman of the Asia Pacific Dental Congress.
