STARS IN THE SHOW

As it premieres on a new timeslot today at 2pm, expect the best opening number from Kuya Wil’s original dancers Milagring (Danna Annaliza Bernardo De Castro), Luningning (Lea Carla Santos), and Mariposa (Rovielyn Cabigquez), together with the talented W. Girls, to give a blazing, jaw-dropping dance performance to his popular songs like “Giling-giling”, “Kendeng-kendeng”, and “Sayaw Darling”.

Also, an exciting lineup of singer-comedians Anton Diva, Le Chazz, and Chokla, as well as Kapuso divas Jonalyn Viray and Frencheska Farr will delight viewers as they belt out favorites like Beyonce’s “Love On Top”.

Of course, Kuya Wil will also serenade his Kapuso viewers around the world with his heart-felt original love songs, like “Ikaw Na Nga”, which is already a staple in the show.

NEW GAME, BIG EXCITMENT

For an extra 15 minutes of fun and enjoyment, Wowowin is adding a new segment. “Putukan Na!” is a contest among three teams, with four members each, competing to burst the most number of balloons under time pressure.

The quickest team to burst eight balloons within the time limit wins and will go on to the next round. If none of the teams can pop all eight balloons, the team with the most number of popped balloons gets to move on to the jackpot round.

For the jackpot round, the team will choose one representative to take on the challenge of bursting as many as he/she can or all the balloons. Each number of balloons has an equivalent prize, while popping all the balloons merits the jackpot prize.

Popular segments “Bigyan Ng Jacket” and “Wil of Fortune” were modified, made simpler, but still offering generous prizes. The highly-coveted Wowowin blue jacket and Happy Mobile phones are given out as minor prizes,

along with cash prizes, while a million pesos, a new car, and a new Bria house and lot awaits the grand prize winner.

KUYA WIL’S CALLING

“Wil of Fortune”, which is considered as the heart and soul of the program, will continue to bring hope and joy to viewers. It highlights the stories of regular Filipinos, as well as their talents, putting them in the limelight as the stars of the show. It is when Kuya Wil is most candid, earnestly listening and showing genuine interest to the contestants’ stories.

For WBR Entertainment Corporation business unit head Elaine Ogtong, it is Kuya Wil’s calling to bring happiness and hope to the masses. “It is his passion to relate and listen to the masses. There is always heart in the show. It is rare to find a host like him who emphatizes with the contestants’ stories, maybe because their stories touch him on a personal level as he has experienced the same hardships,” she says.

GRATITUDE

Kuya Wil expresses his gratitude to his viewers who show continuous support for Wowowin. “Noon pa man ay handog ko na ang Wowowin sa mga taong walang tigil na sumusuporta sa atin, kaya para sa kanila ay wala rin tayong tigil sa pagtulong at sa pagbibigay kasiyahan. Nakakatuwa na mapapanood na nila kami sa mas maaga at mas mahabang timeslot dahil paniguradong mas marami pang kasiyahan at papremyong hatid ang programa.”

Wowowin is slated to become a regular daily show soon while a new album is also being arranged with GMA Records.

Catch Wowowin on its new timeslot, every Sunday at 2pm after
