Global land planning group cites Seda Nuvali for promoting fitness
Seda Nuvali hotel in Sta. Rosa, Laguna recently won a special commendation in the commercial category of the Urban Land Institute Philippines Healthy Places Awards 2016. ULI is a global non-profit organization that seeks to promote the responsible use of land and to create thriving communities.
The special awards given for the first time in the Philippines recognize outstanding and innovative projects that promote healthy living through exceptional design strategies. Seda Nuvali is fast becoming a weekend destination for visitors and families from congested Metro Manila seeking to be reinvigorated by the eco-friendly Nuvali community.
Nuvali is the largest selfsustainable urban hub in the country developed by Ayala Land. During the week, the hotel is favored by executives and visitors doing business in the manufacturing hubs of Laguna.
According to Seda Nuvali general manager Jeffrey Enriquez, the hotel’s high guest satisfaction rate is not only the result of its exceptional service but also its healthy surroundings. “Our guests love the fresh air and the views available to them, particularly of the lake in our backyard, which is also a recycling facility of Nuvali.”
Unsurprisingly, Seda Nuvali’s facilities, amenities and guest rooms are oriented towards this serene body of water where families enjoy boat rides. Views are further enhanced by green fields and Mount Makiling in the distance. Like the other Seda hotels, the Nuvali property also offers guests easy access to a host of dining and retail outlets being part of a strategically located Ayala Land mixed-use development. Moreover, it registers above-industry average occupancy rates because of its programs and systems to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction ratings. Seda Nuvali is one of five hotels nationwide that carry the AyalaLand Hotels and Resorts brand. The other Seda properties are in Bonifacio Global City, Cagayan de Oro, Davao City and Iloilo City.
Seda Nuvali is also the first hotel in the Philippines to receive the LEED Silver certification from the US Green Building Council, exceeding set international standards and environmental guidelines related to green building design, construction and operations. It has been constructed and designed to save on water and energy usage and to minimize its carbon footprint.
