Father gets into affair with son’s ex in MMK

Jay Manalo and Cherry Pie Picache (photo) return to Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) to portray a married couple who formed their own family band in tonight’s episode.

Jake (Jay) is a frustrated singersongwriter married to Vivien (Cherry Pie), a very supportive wife. When their children were young, the couple entered their sons Marko (Sam Concepcion) and Niko (Vin Abrenica) in a local talent competition which convinced Jay that his kids have a bright future in the music industry.

In order for Marko and Niko to realize their full potential, Jake decided to form a band complete with dancers. Jake, however, begins to have a relationship with Lyca (Karen Reyes) who was once in a relationship with Marko.

The relationship between Jake and Lyca, however, did not stay secret for long. Vivien decided to leave Jake while Marko and Niko grew more and more detached from their father.

Will Jake choose Lyca over his family? Would Vivien, Marko and Niko forgive Jake?

Joining the MMK episode are Jane de Leon, Jon Lucas and Claire Ruiz. It is directed by Jerome Chavez Pobocan, and written by Mary Rose Colindres and Arah Jell Badayos. MMK is led by business unit head Malou Santos.
