30 things I want to see in my lifetime

F or the 30th anniversary of Philippine STAR this week, we asked 30 of our top writers: What 30 things do you want to see in your lifetime?

You can call them bucket lists. But they’re really more like wish lists, because there are things we can only wish for or dream about, as against the usual bucket lists which are supposed to be doable.

Only a merciful God or a merciless President Rody Duterte can make some of them happen. And yes, solving our traffic mess is one of them.

When the 30 writers sent their lists, two of them, not surprisingly, stayed true to their maverick natures. Young STAR editor Jonty Cruz made a list of “30 Things I Want to End in the Next 30 Years,” while Barbara Gonzalez’s piece is: “30 Things that I... Whatever!”
