Prison islands as rehabilitation centers not just for drug addicts, also for corruption addicts (especially politicos).

1. Trees on both sides of all streets and highways all over the Philippines.

2. High- speed trains to decongest Metro Manila, so students and professionals can live in Central Luzon, Bicol or Ilocos regions and commute daily to school or work. 3. A parliamentary, unicameral and federal form of government. 4. Free broadband WiFi, better and cheaper telecom rates. 5. Malacañang Palace converted into an art museum and construction of a new presidential residence in the suburbs (for better security) or even in a totally new capital city. 6. The walled city of Intramuros transformed into a 24- hour tourism and cultural hub. 7. Pasig River and the esteros revived. 8. Bike lanes, blind people paths and walkable sidewalks nationwide. 9. The return of my childhood’s dragonflies, butterflies and wild birds to our cities, more public spaces with trees and tropical gardens. 10. A new and bigger airport outside the metropolis (not named after any politician!). 11. Farmers, fishermen, teachers, poets and philosophers in the Philippines becoming rich. 12. Politicians required to take drug tests, psychiatric and IQ exams before elections. 13. Corporate executives and government leaders riding aircon MRT and LRT trains. 14. More parks in cities instead of malls. 15. More museums and public art galleries instead of condos. 16. More young people spending time in libraries and bookshops, instead of Internet cafes. 17. More public libraries. 18. More science and math contests instead of beauty contests. 19. More football fields and swimming pools, not just basketball courts and golf courses. 20. “Entertainment City” by the Manila Bay that offers not just casinos but more theater like Broadway and West End.

21.

Prison islands as rehabilitation centers not just for drug addicts, also for corruption addicts (especially politicos). Prisoners should do daily physical work in farms or labor-intensive industries so they pay for their board and lodging, not us taxpayers. 22. No more streetkids selling sampaguita flowers or begging. 23. No more slum areas, but lots of decent public housing. 24. A truly sovereign and non-aligned Philippines becoming bridge of understanding between east and west. 25.

The Philippines and China undertaking joint development of possible oil and gas in the seas on at least a 50-50 sharing basis with China shouldering expenditures and no concessions on any sovereignty issues. 26. Camp Aguinaldo, Camp Crame and all other military camps moved out of our cities, and these places converted not into more malls but into more public parks and gardens. 27. Primetime TV news reverted back into English. 28. I want to see my book of poems, also published novels, and I want to create a movie. 29. My dream house of a Spartan, nofrills nipa hut. 30. I want to see my own unforgettable wedding.
