Glitches force MRT to suspend operation
The Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) suspended its operation yesterday due to a still undetermined technical problem and two train failures.
The MRT-3 said all trains were forced to stop at their nearest stations after a technical problem happened at the North Avenue station at around 12:08 p.m.
The rail line said normal operation resumed at around 12:26 p.m.
Before the service interruption, commuters were forced to get off after a “train failure” occurred at around 9:48 a.m. between the Taft Avenue and Magallanes stations and lasted until around 9:55 a.m.
Another train failure that occurred at around 11:31 a.m. until 11:34 a.m. forced commuters to get off at the Guadalupe station.
