Volkswagen Philippines, in partnership with the Laus Group of Companies, opened last week the firm’s first dealership in Central Luzon.

Volkswagen Pampanga, situated along McArthur Highway, represents the sixth dealership in Volkswagen Philippines’ nationwide network.

John Philip Orbeta, Volkswagen Philippines president and CEO, said the Pampanga dealership is expected to push the Volkswagen brand more aggressively in Central and Northern Luzon which are considered as two fast-rising automotive markets showing strong demand for the premium segments.

“The Philippine automotive industry has entered into a stage of rapid growth, in what may be called the golden age of motorization, wherein the Filipino motoring public has more access to more dynamically designed, more powerful and safer vehicles,” he said.

“The people of the progressive province of Pampanga have played a key role in this growth, and this is, in large part, due to the efforts and expertise of our partner The Laus Group, which under the leadership of its Chairman Levy Laus, has helped fuel this growth in the group’s nearly 40 years of extensive operations in Central and Northern Luzon,” Orbeta added.

The Volkswagen brand was launched in the country in 2013 with Ayala Corp. spearheading the first five dealerships in the country located in Taguig City, Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, Muntinlupa and Cebu City.

The Laus Group of Companies, meanwhile, started in 1978 and now has an extensive automotive network spanning Metro Manila, Central and Northern Luzon.
