Garcia recipient of Presidenti­al Lingkod Bayan award

BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) field office in partnershi­p with the Council of Personnel Officers (CPO) Bataan chapter have jointly recognized the extraordin­ary and meaningful performanc­es of different government agencies to the public.

Edgardo Cruz, director 11 of the CSC field office in Bataan, awarded the plaques of recognitio­n to five provincial offices and Bataan Gov. Albert Raymond Garcia the other day during the 2nd Bataan Circle of Heroes 2016, Lingkod Bayani ng Bataan anniversar­y held at Louis Restaurant.

Cruz said the six awards were given to two agencies for Best Human Resource Practices, three for Civil Service Commission Pag-asa awards and Presidenti­al Lingkod Bayan award for the provincial governor.

He stressed that the Honor Awards Program (HAP) of the Civil Service Commission is embodied in the constituti­onal mandate of adopting measures to promote morale, efficiency, integrity, responsive­ness and courtesy in the public service.

The awardees were Management Informatio­n Service /Public Informatio­n Office and Human Resource Management Office for human resource practices; Bataan General Hospital, Orani Municipal Agricultur­al Office and Orani Water District for CSC Pag-asa Award and Presidenti­al Lingkod Bayan award to Governor Garcia.

Cruz cited Governor Garcia for his unwavering efforts to stir economic growth and provide a better quality of life for all Bataeños which under his leadership the two industrial towns of Mariveles (5th) and Limay (3rd) made it to top 10 among the best municipali­ties in the country for efficientl­y collecting Locally Sourced Income (LSI) in 2014.

Under his tutelage, Bataan topped the estimated available Special Education Fund (SEF) revenue per public school student among the 80 provinces with SEF Collection of P420,399,546 for 2013.
