Cola maker partners with roasted chicken brand

-

RC, the licensed bottler of RC Cola International in the Philippines, has just given Filipinos another good reason to smile these days. This, after the country’s number one cola drink entered into a partnership with Bounty Fresh, a privately owned company that supplies chicken and processed chicken products, the most notable of which is their line of roasted chicken under the Chooks-to-Go brand.

Ramon Santos, national sales manager for modern trade of ARC, noted that the partnership was borne out of both companies’ desire to offer better value for money to their customers. “The needs of today’s consumers have changed. Aside from carefully assessing first the value of the products they buy, today’s consumers are now also after convenience,” he said.

During family gatherings, it has already become common practice for Filipinos to enjoy meals with a bottle of ice cold cola in their dining table. With the tie-up between ARC and Bounty Fresh, customers who purchase Chooks- to- Go are given the opportunity to enjoy the refreshing taste of RC Cola at greatly discounted prices. As part of the bundle, the company is also offering two variants – Juicy Lemon and the original RC Cola flavor.

“Whereas before when a customer would still have to make a separate trip to the local sari- sari store to buy softdrinks, we’re now making it easier by bundling our products; so for every piece of Chooks-to-Go you buy worth P220, you can get 1.5 liters of RC Cola just by adding P25 more,” adds Mr. Santos. RC Cola 1.5 liter packs are usually sold at SRP of P36 in sari-sari stores and convenience stores nationwide.

“Basically, what we want to achieve with this tie-up is for customers of Chooks-to-Go to also experience RC Cola. Aside from sari-sari stores and convenience stores, I believe that we can reach out to more customers with our partnership with Chooks- To- Go, which now has over 1,200 branches nationwide. At the same time, they also own the franchise for Uling Roaster, which is easily another 300 branches.”

With its distinctive taste, RC Cola offers a perfect complement to Chooks-to-Go’s sauceless yet flavorful offerings of sweet roast oven, pepper roast oven and fried chooks roasted chicken products.

“Just like in our other tie-ups, our company is investing in a unique distribution system to make sure that this partnership would work. We have created a customer care department that will closely be monitoring the orders,” confirms Santos. “And with the system that we have in place, we guarantee a quick turnaround, with the orders being delivered within 24 hours or less.”

RC Cola’s partnership with Chooks-To-Go had its initial test-run with about 24 stores in the NCR in early September. “Based on initial results, at least 3 out of every 4 people who ordered roasted chicken also bought RC Cola,” beamed Santos. “If this continues, we might also consider doing the partnership with Chooks-To-Go for every liempo order as well.”
