The Turf Company awards winners golf tournament
The Turf Company, one of the country’s leading and most trusted distributors of precision mowing equipment, irrigation systems, golf carts and other utility vehicles, gathered its partners, clients and friends together for its Third Turf Company Invitational Golf Tournament held recently at The Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmarinas, Cavite.
At the helm of the event was The Turf Company president and COO Mario Lopez who was ably assisted by his team of engineers, sales personnel as well as administrative staff. A symbolic tee off was led by Lopez, The Finix Corporation general manager Juanchit Jose and HKR president Krister Stelton. Some 110 participants from the country’s premier golf courses joined the tournament. The awarding ceremonies and a celebratory cocktail party that evening capped the occasion.
The Turf Company awarded Jelly Palmes of Orchard Golf & Country Club as this year’s Overall Champion while Ricky Delos Santos of Philippine Army Golf Club got the Lowest Gross Champion prize and was given a citation as the “Longest Drive” at 287 yards off the tee. Other winners included Juanchit Jose of The Finix Corp. and Toto Pelor of MF3 International, Division 1 Champion and runnerup respectively; Col. Art Viyo of Philippine Navy Golf Club and Jared Sto. Tomas of Sta Lucia Land, Inc., Division 2 Champion and runner-up respectively; and Maril Davies Santos, also of Sta. Lucia Land as Division 3 Champion, and Johnny Destago of South Forbes Golf & Country Club as runner-up. Jose also received the “Nearest to the Pin” citation at nine inches to the Pin and Ruben Hermosilla of KC Filipinas Golf Club got the award for “The Most Accurate Drive.”
