3 dead in La Union road mishap

BACNOTAN – Three persons died in an accident along the national highway in Barangay Baroro in this town Sunday night.

Chief Inspector Reynaldo Soria, Bacnotan police chief, identified the fatalities as Jed Andrew Almodovar, 19, a resident of Barangay Poblacion; his companion Leonardo Mendoza of Barangay Tammucalao, and Jervel Quias, 27, of Barangay Fuerte in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur.

Investigation showed that the motorcycles of the victims collided and hit by a passenger jeepney driven by Ariel Ferdinand Dy of Barangay Nagsimbaanan.

The victims were pronounced dead on arrival at the Bacnotan District Hospital.

Dy is being held at the police station.
