6th PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW
Seventeen brands gathered under one roof to show off their solidarity and commitment to sustain the fast-paced growth of the Philippine automotive industry. BAIC, BMW, Daewoo Bus, Foton, Honda, Isuzu, Jeep, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes- Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Peugeot, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volkswagen—members of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) displayed their newest models and gave car enthusiasts and buyers alike a sneak peek of what’s to come. With a theme of “Steer the Future” and a tagline of “CAMPI: Driving Progress, Empowering Society”, it highlights the automotive industry’s valuable contributions to the country and its economy.
CHEVROLET LAUNCHES 2017 TRAILBLAZER AND COLORADO
Chevrolet has one mission when it comes to updating the Trailblazer and Colorado. Knowing they have the segment’s best mechanicals that still deliver class- leading numbers, they simply needed to make both exude a more premium feel. Chevrolet acknowledges the criticisms leveled at their less than stellar interiors before, and now, they’ve come back with a vengeance. The 2017 Trailblazer and Colorado may very well be the best in their segments. Chevy has dug deep, making both the Trailblazer and Colorado lead their respective categories. More than ever, they’re now carrying Chevrolet’s century-long experience in building some of the best trucks in the world. CHEVROLET COLORADO, TRAILBLAZER MAKE SPECIAL DELIVERY TO TYPHOON-STRICKEN AREAS IN CEBU
Demonstrating the power of play, Chevrolet and One World Play Project made a special delivery of 500 ultradurable One World Futbols to six disadvantaged schools in isolated parts of Cebu during the Trailblazer and Colorado regional drive. Using the capable Colorado pickups and Trailblazer SUVs, the delivery made it through the harsh and challenging road conditions.

VOLKSWAGEN INAUGURATES PAMPANGA DEALERSHIP
Volkswagen Philippines, in partnership with The Laus Group of Companies, inaugurated Volkswagen Pampanga along McArthur Highway. The dealership becomes Volkswagen’s first in Central Luzon. Volkswagen Pampanga represents the sixth dealership in Volkswagen Philippines’ nationwide network. The Volkswagen brand was launched in the country on September 27, 2013, under Ayala Corporation, spearheading the first five dealerships in the country: BGC in Taguig City; Quezon Avenue in Quezon City; Sheridan in Mandaluyong City; Molito in Alabang, Muntinlupa; and Cebu City.
NISSAN PH SPRUCES UP JUKE WITH NEW N-SPORT VARIANT
Called the N-Sport, this variant of the Juke is set apart with a sportier exterior. For one, it has offset racing stripes that run the entire length of the car. Second, it has silver-finished spoilers fitted to the bumpers front and back. Third, it has a roof spoiler. And finally, it has an exhaust finisher.

With Toyota Motor Philippines serving as the country’s official distributor of TRD parts, it’s only appropriate that they give their best-selling Fortuner and Hilux the full-on racy treatment. Well, that’s exactly what happened when Toyota showed off the 2017 Toyota Hilux TRD and Fortuner TRD at the Philippine International Motor Show.

Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) has announced the six Filipinos who qualified to compete in the Nissan GT Academy Race Camp Week in Silverstone, United Kingdom. Out of the 20 finalists who participated in the Nissan GT Academy Season 2 National Fi-nals held last September 6 and 7 at the Megatent in Pasig and Glorietta Activity Center in Makati, the six participants who emerged as top finalists are: Jan Millard Lacuna, Elysse T. Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. opens its 34th dealership in Manila Bay area under the Business group of AC Industrial Technology Holdings, Inc. Honda Cars Manila Bay (HCMB) is located at the Bradco Ave., Aseana Business Estate Park, Paranaque City with a 3,000sqm lot size having a 754-sqm showroom that has a modern and up to date facilities, and design with a two-story structure for the showroom that will have the most number of display vehicles to be maximized with 22 cars.
KIA REACHES FARTHER WITH NEW AND REFRESHED DEALERSHIPS
Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC) continues to grow its reputation as one of the top auto brands in the country by opening several new dealerships across the nation. The artistic hub of Cubao will be home to Kia MVP Araneta. The new dealership is located alongside Kia Theatre.
A new dealership in the far north also opens in the form of Kia La Trinidad-Baguio. Kia’s network in Cebu, meanwhile, grows with the opening of a new dealership in Talisay City. South of the metro, Kia Carmona will open its doors to the residents of Cavite and Laguna. Aside from the brand’s completely new dealerships, the Kia Congressional showroom has moved to a more prominent location, but will still maintain an address along the Visayas and Congressional Avenues.
FORD PH INVESTS IN NEW TECHNICAL TRAINING FACILITY; LAUNCHES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Ford Philippines inaugurated a new technical training center at the Don Bosco Technical Vocational Education and Training Center (TVET) in Manila as part of its efforts to support educational development. Ford interested a total of P 2.5-million in the construction and set-up of the new training facility which features a classroom that can hold 50 students, a vehicle lifter, and 12 cabinets and toolboxes filled with specialized tools.
