US Commercial Service, Inter-Ed to conduct ‘Study in New York’ seminar
Opportunities to pursue quality education in some of the top colleges and universities in the United States will be made available to qualified students during a guidance and placement seminar on Dec. 1, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the AIM Conference Center, Benavidez cor. Trasierra Sts., Legaspi Village, Makati City.
Titled, “Study in New York, USA”, the educational event organized jointly by the US Government’s Commercial Service and International Education Specialists ( Inter- Ed 028191001; www. inter- ed. com) will showcase an impressive list of learning institutions in New York City and discuss ways on how to gain admission to these schools.
The seminar will be highlighted by talks from US embassy representatives who will identify the New York area as a favored destination and discuss student F-1 student visa requirements, while an Inter- Ed staff will explain various admission guidelines and requirements.
Leading the line- up of New York schools to be featured in the event is the City College of New York( CC NY ), widely regarded as a center of excellence in the Big Apple.
Ranked No. 85 in the list of Regional Universities-North by the US News & World Report, CCNY offers an exciting list of degree programs that will prepare students for professional development and growth in the 21st century.
Among the undergraduate and graduate courses available in any of the college’s schools and departments are landscape architecture at the Spitzer School of Architecture, civil engineering at the Grove School of Engineering, management at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership, and many more.
Students stand to benefit from an outstanding faculty that includes Fulbright scholars, Guggenheim fellows, Pulitzer Prize and Emmy Awards winners. CCNY also counts among its alumni 10 Nobel Prize winners in the fields of medicine, physics, economics and chemistry.

During the event, applicants will undergo one- on- one interviews by admission staff from the City College of New York, Long Island University- Brooklyn, New York Film Academy, Culinary Institute of America, and other well- known American universities.
