-

As a symbolic gesture of strengthening its commitment in building progressive development for the Visayas region, the Ayala group held the event “Accelerating The Future with Our Partners” on Nov. 21, 2016 at the Ayala Center Cebu.

The Ayala group has a long-standing presence across diverse industries, and this initiative reaffirmed its primed position to help address some of the country’s pressing development challenges by reinforcing its ties with its partners.

Ayala Corp. chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Land Inc. president and CEO Bobby Dy, Ayala Automotive president and CEO JP Orbeta, AC Infra president and CEO Rene Almendras, and Ayala Foundation president Ruel Maranan graced the event.

“Together, we can meet the Filipinos’ evolving demands by providing practical solutions that balance quality and affordability. In recent years, we have ventured into areas that touch on the basic needs of Filipinos – from building sustainable communities throughout the country, to widening access to financial services, improving connectivity, providing clean potable water, and expanding beyond our shores to cater to the needs of a globalized economy,” Zobel said.

“In recent years, we have taken a more deliberate approach to integrating the needs of a wider ecosystem into our business plans and in our continued symbiotic relationship with our partners. We diversified into sectors that are going through important social and economic transformation and are critical to sustaining our country’s economic progress—hard infrastructure through power and transport and social infrastructure through healthcare and education,” he added.

This philosophy has served the Ayala group and all of its stakeholders well, and has been a key driver of its shared success. Three principles guide Ayala in its decisions and actions.

Zobel continued: “Where others see challenges, we see potential; and across our group of companies, we are driven to find better ways to address the many needs of customers, hinged on our commitment to improving the lives of the communities we serve.”

Ayala’s emerging businesses will take on a unified brand identity henceforth. They will be renamed AC—AC Energy, AC Infra, AC Industrials, and AC Automotive AC Health, AC Education. Together, they will further bolster innovation, synergy and dynamism for the Ayala Group.
