-

Games tomorrow (S.T.R.I.K.E. gym, Bacoor, Cavite) 2 p.m. – Senate vs MMDA 3:30 p.m. – Ombudsman vs BFP 5 p.m. – AFP vs Malacañang

Unbeaten Malacañang tries to formalize its stint in the second round of the fifth UNTV Cup as it clashes with Armed Forces of the Philippines at the STRIKE gym in Bacoor, Cavite today.

The 5 p.m. match caps a crucial three-game bill that will determine the cast in the second round where Malacañang, with a 5-0 card, is the only team assured of a spot.

But the AFP Cavaliers, toting a 3-2 slate, have vowed to go all-out and stop Malacañang and bolster their own bid.

AFP is in a tie with Bureau of Fire Protection while Ombudsman and MMDA have similar 2-3 records in Group A.

Ombudsman and BFP clash at 3:30 p.m. in another crucial match with the winner clinching a berth in the second round where the top four teams will play with the other four squads in the other division in another single round phase.

Of the four teams, MMDA will have a lighter assignment as it faces winless Senate at 2 p.m.

The winner of the tournament organized by UNTV president and CEO Daniel Razon will receive the P4 million prize which it will donate to its chosen charity.

Last season, AFP donated its prize to AFP-EBSO (Education Benefit Systems Office).
