Kapuso employees, celebs in art exhibit
The artistic prowess of Kapuso employees and personalities is on display at the Art Gap 2016 painting exhibit, which runs until Dec. 9 at the GMA Network Center.
Art Gap features almost 50 paintings of various subjects and mediums and is for the benefit of GMA’s sociocivic arm, GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF).
The exhibit’s opening last Nov. 24 at the GMA Mezzanine was attended by the featured artists, among them Solenn Heussaff, Isabelle de Leon and GMA News and Public Affairs’ Connie Sison.
Also present were GMA Network executives led by chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon, EVP and CFO Felipe Yalong, SVP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable, GMAKF EVP and COO Rikki Escudero-Catibog, GMAKF founder and ambassador Mel Tiangco, GMA First VP for Post Production Edward Achacoso, GMA VP for Professional Development Howie Severino and GMA VP for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angela Javier Cruz and special guest Dingdong Dantes.
Now on its 15th year, Art Gap started in 2001 as a painting exhibit featuring some of the finest works of GMA employees and select on-cam talents such as Joey de Leon, Michael V. and the late Francis Magalona.
Through the years, it has developed into an art competition that showcases the creativity and talent of the GMA workforce. The competition has featured various artwork including painting, photography and caricature drawings.
