Yin Yan set menus at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila

Marco Polo Ortigas Manila presents a dragon dance performanc­e followed by Cantonese temptation­s, combining traditiona­l and modern culinary techniques by executive Chinese chef Raymond Yeung. There are Yin and Yang set menus for lunch at Lung Hin. Dried oyster and black mushroom at City of Dreams

City of Dreams Manila ushers in the Chinese New Year at Crystal Dragon with Chinese New Year-themed à la carte and set menus until Feb.11. The Shops at the Boulevard will hold a three-day festival from Jan. 27 to 29 with Chinese New Yearthemed activities and performanc­es. The Chinese New Year Happiness Menu is priced at P3,680+ per person, while the Chinese New Year Treasures Menu is at P 6,680+, both for a minimum of four to six persons. A la carte offerings range from P460+ to P1,680+. Crystal Dragon is open daily for lunch from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and dinner from 6 p.m. to 11p.m. Diners can celebrate the New Year with authentic Chinese and Korean fare any time of the day at Noodl8 until February. Prices for the Chinese and Korean à la carte dishes range between P310+ to P688+. Noodl8 is open 24 hours a day and is located on the main gaming area at the ground floor. Treasure fried rice, scallops in XO sauce at Sofitel

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila offers a bountiful feast featuring Cantonese, Hakka and Sze Chuan cuisines prepared by Chinese chef Micahel Tan, available from Jan. 25 to 29 at the Spiral. For the Cantonese selection, enjoy sauteed scallops with sweet walnut in XO sauce, steamed fish Hong Kong-stle, braised dry mussel with sea moss, abalone braised in superior sauce, golden prawn in salted egg yolk and Marmite crab. Hakka cuisine dishes include Hakka-style pork knuckles, braised pork belly with preserved vegetable, Hakka deep-fried pork organ, Hakkastyle salt and baked chicken, treasure fried rice in lotus leaf, and the basin dish called poon choi. The Sze Chuan dishes are chang qing la ji chicken, cumin lamb, homemade noodle, beef Chinese hamburger, braised sea cucumber in Sze Chuan sauce, and kung pao squid with cashew nuts.
