2 vehicles in ‘rent- tangay’ scam recovered

Two sport utility vehicles, sold as part of a car rental scam, were recovered in Dolores, Quezon Friday.

Joselito Bautista Jimenez, accompanied by officials of Barangay Sta. Lucia and town police chief Senior Inspector Fortune Dianne Bernardo, went to recover his Toyota Hi-lux from Angel Faraon Himpisao.

Authorities also recovered from Himpisao a Mitsubishi Montero registered to Sandy Eliscupidez.

Himpisao told police that the two vehicles were sold to him by Rafaela Anunciacion, one of several people accused of renting cars from vehicle owners and selling them to unsuspecting buyers.
