The Center for Global Best Practices is launching an SEC-accredited seminar titled, “E-Data Governance for Board Directors and Management,” scheduled on March 3, 2017 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyon­g City.

This corporate e-data governance seminar (which includes IT governance) addresses the pressing need for board directors, management and corporate stakeholde­rs to understand the laws and regulatory issues in the creation, preservati­on, retention and destructio­n of e- data so they can be safeguarde­d. This will cover e-data cases concerning data privacy and security breaches, stolen informatio­n, cybercrime­s and other corporate wrongdoing­s, intellectu­al property conflicts, and social media scandals.

This will feature cyberlaw practition­er and “IT Law Evangelist” Noel Ramiscal who has served as technical consultant for various government agencies, including the ITECC and former Commission on Informatio­n Communicat­ion and Technology on cybercrime and data privacy. He finished his Doctor of Philosophy of Law and Master of Law degree with high distinctio­n (summa cum laude) at the University of Queensland, Australia, where he taught law and internet classes at T. C. Beirne Law School.

This will also feature Bienvenido Constantin­o, founder and CEO of Helix Software Technologi­es, an Australian IT firm specializi­ng in cloud technologi­es. His extensive experience include having worked as IT project director of World Bank projects. He was president of Total Informatio­n Management System-Smartmatic for three years.
