BOC seizes P10-M luxury cars
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) recently seized three luxury vehicles valued at around P10 million.
A BMW 745, a BMW 745 Li and a Hyundai Equus JS350, which came from South Korea, arrived at the Port of Subic in January.
The vehicles were consigned to Sea Star Express Corp., a freight forwarder.
The BOC said the importation of the vehicles violated the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon issued an alert order on the vehicles upon the recommendation of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service.
