Home Sweetie Home’s version of fairytales

Julie (Toni Gonzaga, photo) transform into king and queen of Fairylandia in the episode of ABS-CBN’s Home Sweetie Home airing today.

There is a scheduled power interruption in the barangay until midnight that’s why Baby Sam cannot sleep due to the unbearable heat. While her mom and dad take turns in fanning her, Romeo and Julie also read her bedtime stories to help her put to sleep. As they read aloud, the two come up with an idea of creating their own version of Hansel and Gretel.

Everyone in the barangay also volunteers to participate in the live fairy talestories. Magda, Mang LA, Obet and Pinong play characters in Ibong Adarna. Julie and Romeo practice their lines for Cinderella. Sir Paeng (Ogie Diaz) gets the evil uncle role, Ed (Bearwin Meiley) as the fairy godfather and Lino (Paul Sy) as the prince.

All their dialogues are based on their experiences. Each story ends with a moral lesson. Romeo and Julie also remind them to make a story with a happy ending.

When Baby Sam is finally asleep, Romeo and Julie realize that their life is akin to a fairytale. Julie sees Romeo as her Prince Charming who is not only a loving father but also a responsible man.
