Gessi launches Equilibrio line of high-end faucets
Once again, Gessi has proved its mastery in innovation and design in the luxury end of the bathroom industry. On March 23, Dexterton Corporation celebrated a full night’s event, with over a hundred of Manila’s prominent architects, interior designers, developers and other special guests gracing the launch of Equilibrio, Gessi’s newest line of faucets built with a unique aesthetic, at its newest building in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
After a special introduction of Gruppo Treesse’s highly-impressive Ghost System whirlpool tub and Dexterton Corporation’s newest Italian outdoor furniture Plust guests were then served with an excellent selection of wines and delectable dinner.
With everyone repleted, Dexterton Corp. VP Dexter Go shared the inspiring story of the 20-year harmonious business relationship between Gessi and Dexterton, followed by remarks from Gessi Singapore GM Gunter Serafini.
“Gessi and Dexterton have been partners for over 20 years. We are their first export client in Asia. Today, Gessi is [the] most important faucet brand in our company. I can be most proud to say that we are selling the most sought after faucets in the highend segment today. Gessi is not for everyone. It is for people who consider having luxury and prestige in the things that they have and use in their daily lives,” Go said.
“Like in every good relationship, you have, first of all, to be like-minded. The way we have always approached our work is by trying to inspire the same community that like us is driven by passion of design and quality. And we are amazed for the welcome, support and appreciation we have from the community,” Serafini said, emphasizing the importance of Gessi’s current involvement in the most prestigious projects within Asia. He then briefly introduced the concept behind the sleek and natural design of Equilibrio, a by-product of a creative convergence between Gessi and artist-philosopher Marsel Lesko. The two had coincidentally met at the latter’s meditative practice in a Sardinian beach, thus inspiring the energetic archetype of Equilibrio designed by Giuseppe Maurizio Scutella.
The night fell silent, immersed into a tranquilizing music and silent breaths, as Lesko captivatingly performed his stonebalancing—a 10-minute meditation with the elements given by nature in search of equilibrium, the balance that so many times people tend to lose in life.
The guests then gathered around the cart where the product was unveiled by top management Go and Michael So, running their hands across its natural materials.
Symbolizing a revolutionary chapter in research of design and well being, Equilibrio replicates the art and aesthetic of stonebalancing, taking on a distinctive organic figure of two, ovoid, stone-like forms resting atop each other — showcasing a strong relationship with water and relaying the energy that is created when stones are aligned.
Before the night ended, the guests were allowed to experience the art and beauty of balance. They were challenged to try stonebalancing themselves with the first person to succeed rewarded with a Dexterton gift certificate. The announcement of raffle draw winners and distribution Dexterton item giveaways capped the night.
