24,082 pass elementary, HS teachers exam
A total of 24,082 elementary and secondary teachers passed the licensure examination for teachers (LET), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.
The PRC said only 5,600 of the 53,915 examinees passed the LET for elementary teachers while 18,482 of the 72,584 examinees passed the examination for secondary teachers.
University of Mindanao in Davao City graduate Marian Kaye Gallego topped the examination for the secondary level with a score of 92.80 percent followed by De La Salle graduate Acejan Jadie, who obtained a grade of 92.60 percent.
Ateneo de Manila graduate Flabelle Tan ranked third with a score of 92.20 percent while Pamantasan ng Lungsod na Valenzuela Nicko Tumala placed fourth with a grade of 91.60 percent. University of Mindanao-Digos College Gerlie Albia captured the fifth spot with a score of 91.40 percent
With a grade of 90.60 percent, De La Salle University graduate Samantha Christel Gaerlan led the board passers in the elementary level followed in second place by University of the Philippines graduate Angelique de Vera, who obtained a grade of 90.20 percent
Third placer was Mindanao State University graduate Jessel Mary Pangandian, who got a score of 89.60 percent while fellow MS&U graduate Vel Marie Palisbo ranked fourth with a grade of 88.80 percent and Western Mindanao State University Mark Joseph Timple ranked fifth with a grade f 88.60 percent.
UP Diliman was the topped performing school in the secondary level with 92.54 percent passing rate followed by University of Santos Tomas with 80.95 percent. No school qualified for top performing schools in the elementary level.
The two-day registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will start on May 29 for elementary level. Board passers for the Secondary Level can register from May 31 to June 16.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
