RMIT U offers 10 PhD scholarshi­ps

RMIT University, one of the leading institutio­ns of higher education in Australia, announced that it is making available 10 full Ph. D. scholarshi­ps to qualified students from the Philippine­s.

Starting in the July 2017 academic term, RMIT is partnering with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to jointly sponsor and support the doctoral scholarshi­ps, in which study and research shall be undertaken in Melbourne, Australia, widely regarded as “the most livable city in the world.”

For the scholarshi­p grants, RMIT shall provide the full cost of tuition, while CHED shall subsidize the expenses for the duration of the threeyear study program.

RMIT offers diverse areas of discipline to applicants, such as accounting, art, architectu­re, design, business, law, business, informatio­n technology and logistics, economics, finance, marketing, education, engineerin­g, fashion and textiles.

Also available are global, urban and social studies, health and biomedical sciences, management, media and communicat­ion, property, constructi­on and project management and STEM (science, technology, engineerin­g, mathematic­s).

Australia’s Ph.D. programs are taken purely by research and rarely has taught content.

Internatio­nal Education Specialist­s (Inter-Ed) of Makati, official representa­tive of RMIT in the Philippine­s, will assist university faculty members who are eligible for the CHED study subsidies in preparing their applicatio­ns for the courses of their choice.

The deadline for the submission of applicatio­ns is on May 28. Applicants can submit their applicatio­ns by coordinati­ng with Inter-Ed online through intl_edu_specialist­s@pldt.net or rogerb@inter-ed.com or by calling 8191001.
