Color Rediscovered: Panasonic launches 2017 4K UHD
Opening doors to a richer viewing experience, Panasonic Philippines has proudly unveiled its new lineup of television offerings that promises leading innovations making viewers see colors in the richest, brightest and sharpest way possible during the Panasonic 2017 TV Convention last June 21 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom at Marriott Manila in Pasay City. Gracing the launch were Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. president Shinichi Hayashi, Sales and Marketing Division VP Masaru Toyota and Panasonic Appliance Marketing Asia Pacific AV Merchandising Division director Nobuhide Saito.
This year’s lineup offerings that is part of the company’s vision for its television units to be “True to the Film Makers’ Vision” and deliver images that are exactly as envisioned by their creators. To make this possible, Panasonic’s Hollywood Laboratory has sought the help of a Hollywood colorist to tune the screen technology and deliver an accurate cinema experience.
OLED 4K PRO HDR
The new OLED 4K Pro HDR combines the revolutionary OLED (Organic LED) panel with Panasonic’s signature 4K Hexa Chroma Drive Pro to produce the most accurate and dramatic colors through the new Hexa Chroma Drive technology, which reproduces six colors (red, green, blue, cyan, yellow and magenta) compared to conventional sets RGB reproduction, effectively unlocking OLED technology’s fullest potential for stunningly rich and vibrant pictures. The line’s High Dynamic Range (HDR) system also supports HDR10 and Hybrid Log Gamma technology for superb audio quality.
The Hexa Chroma Drive is an original Panasonic technology for providing natural, beautiful colors with “Six Color Reproduction.” This new feature makes stunning and breathtakingly vivid colors from nature flow directly to the screen, exhibit superb bright images where brilliant expression combines with HDR compatibility and deliver a premium experience with astounding highlights.
Meanwhile, HDR content on HDR-enabled Panasonic TVs deliver images much closer to the way your eyes see the real world. Deep blacks are combined with very bright highlights to produce a level of reality that is only found on Panasonic’s premium HDR screens.
HIGH-END FEATURES
The new product offerings also boast several high-end features from Panasonic: a special filter to reduce external reflections and express black shades more accurately; a super bright panel that boasts brightness to make pictures more dynamic; Dynamic Blade Speakers, a slim but powerful audio system for full 80-watt sound output; HDR Multi-Support for compatibility with Ultra HD Blu-Ray and HDR broadcasting; expended 4K HD models (43-inch to 65-inch); HDR PRO; and an expanded series with Hexa Chroma technology up to HD TV that makes a revolutionary degree of accuracy possible.
FILMMAKER’S CHOICE
During the launch, Panasonic also invited professional cinematographer Zach Sycip to demonstrate how the new lineup of televisions reproduces images in a manner accurate to how directors and cinematographers intend them to appear. Sycip’s wealth of experience in a number of advertisements and feature films has given him many rich insights on the importance of communicating images exactly as creators make them to be. He is a long-time patron of Panasonic’s products and vouches for Panasonic’s latest technologies that always meet his rigid standards.
As a global leader in the development of diverse electronics technologies and consumer electronics solutions, Panasonic continuously introduces new technologies to elevate consumers’ viewing experience. This is part of the company’s plans and many innovations that align with its commitment to create a better life and a better world, and to contribute to the evolution of society and the happiness of people around the globe.
