The Shell Technology Forum was recently organized by a leading oil company as a means to help promote clean and efficient energy.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. continuously strives to provide cleaner energy through smarter products and infrastructure, promote sustainable mobility and operations, and diversify the energy mix by developing cleanerburning natural gas resources.

A highlight of the forum was the need for innovations in lubricants technology as the transport, construction, and general manufacturing sectors progress along with the growth of the Philippine economy, which was projected to reach 6.8 percent this year.

The day-long forum hosted by Shell Global Lubricants gathered industry and government experts from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Congressional Committee of Transportation, and Shell technology experts, together with the company’s distributors and customers.

The sixth annual gathering, aptly themed “Synergy: Innovate. Learn. Collaborate.” focused on Shell Lubricant’s commitment to continue its 100-year legacy in the country that involves innovating to produce world-class lubricants, learning from customers and stakeholders through constant engagements, and shaping and strengthening partnerships toward achieving sustainable and attainable growth.

Shell highlighted innovations in lubricants technology to power the changing needs of its partners in various industries, particularly in the transportation, construction and general manufacturing sectors.

Among these are the newly reformulated Shell Rimula R4 L and the Shell Tellus S2 MX hydraulic oil.

Serge Bernal, Shell Lubricants marketing manager, said Shell will continuously provide better products and tools to help the government develop the different sectors in the country. The new oils will be available in August.
