What is it about promoting a movie that opens the heart of stars and unloose their tongues?

As they embark on their fourth movie together, Star Cinema’s Finally Found Someone (opening nationwide on Wednesday, July 26), Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz are having fun titillating the imagination of the fans and the media by confessing that, yes, they keep a secret affection for each other. Their first starrer, A Very Special Love, was done in 2008, followed the next year by You

Changed My Life and by It Takes a Man and a Woman in 2013, all directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina for the same company. (Finally Found Someone is by Theodore Boborol.)

Actually, Sarah and JLC needed not pretend that they have, well, “something.” The public knows very well that in real life they are (committed) to other people and yet, moviegoers troop to the theaters to bask in their make-believe romance in the same way that Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon did in the more than 10 movies that they starred in.

To dig deeper into Sarah’s thoughts, Funfare decided to let her take the “Who, what, where, when, how” test. (JLC begged off.) WHO Who are the people that you look up to?

“My parents. I also have high respect for my closest friends in the industry — Ms. Rachelle Ann Go, Yeng Constantino, Ms. Lea, Ms. Reg,

Tito Gary and Tito Martin. And also Teacher Georcelle who I consider as one of my mentors in the industry.” Who are the people you can trust?

“My family, God and my close friends.”

Who is a real person (ordinary or powerful) you would like to portray? (No answer) Who is your “guiding light?” “God, His Word.” Who do you consult before you make a major decision? “God and my parents. I also seek advice from the people I truly trust.” WHAT What were you thinking when you woke up this morning? “My hopes, my dreams, my prayer.”

What do you like most about your character in Finally Found Someone? “Her honesty.” What’s the upside of being Sarah Geronimo? “Being able to inspire and touch people’s lives.” What is the downside of being Sarah Geronimo? “Missing out on many things in life.”

What is your present state of mind/heart? “Grateful.” WHERE Where are you most comfortable? “At home.” Where else do you want to live aside from where you are now? “In a peaceful and safe place.” Where do you go to unwind? “Movies, restaurants.” Where would you go to spend private time with somebody special? “Some place where we can talk, just the two of us.”

Where do most of your earnings go? “Bank.” WHEN When did you realize that you are famous? “Never.”

When are you happiest? “When the people I love are happy.” When are you saddest?

“The opposite of my answer in the previous question.”

When was the last time you said “I love you” to somebody? “Kanina (7/17/17).”

When is the best time to settle down? “When you feel that you’re ready.” HOW How do you know that you are

in love? “When you are constantly thinking about the person.” How are you away from the limelight?

“I love being in the entertainment business but not much in the limelight.”

How many real, real friends do you think you have? “Just a few.”

How did you and John Lloyd become comfortable working together? “When we enjoy each other’s company.” How do you see yourself 10 years from now?

“Still living out my passion. By then, I hope I am married to my wonderful husband and enjoying the company of my own kids.”
