Felix Manalo grand pay TV premiere on PBO

-

More people can finally watch the Guinness World Record holder movie, Felix Manalo, as PBO has acquired the rights to broadcast it starting this month. The film’s acquisition is just but fitting since PBO has been home to countless blockbuster movies for the past 13 years.

Winner of the Best Picture Award at the FAMAS and Movie of the Year at the 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies, Felix Manalo takes a closer look at the life of the founder of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC). The challenges he encountered while on a spiritual quest, his romance and marriage with Honorata de Guzman, everything that led to the ultimate foundation of INC in 1914, and even beyond, the epic film reveals them all.

For his portrayal of the title role, Dennis Trillo won FAMAS Best Actor and PMPC Movie Actor of the Year. Bela Padilla received a FAMAS Best Actress nomination for her role as the wife, Honorata. The cast is filled with such actors as Gabby Concepcion, Mylene Dizon, Jaclyn Jose, Lorna Tolentino, Joel Torre, Phillip Salvador, Alice Dixson, Snooky Serna and Heart Evangelista.

Felix Manalo also won FAMAS Best Director and PMPC Movie Director of the Year (for Joel Lamangan); FAMAS Best Screenplay (Bienvenido Santiago); FAMAS Best Theme Song and PMPC Movie Original Theme Song of the Year (Ang Sugo ng Diyos sa mga Huling Araw); and PMPC Movie Designer of the Year (Edgar Martin Littaua, Joel Bilbao and Danny Red).
