PAID, PCOMS to hold joint implant symposium
The Philippine Academy of Implant Dentistry (PAID) and the Philippine College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (PCOMS), two of the dynamic and energetic affiliate societies of the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) have teamed up to conduct the implant symposium on Sept. 20 at the Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City.
The symposium where attendees will earn continuing professional development credit points,will feature updated technology in implants dentistry from digital planning, surgical placement, prosthetic fabrication and esthetic outcome.
PAID president Dr. Levy Villaruel and PCOMS acting president Dr. Jay Tabije said the symposium which will have its registration and opening rites at 8 a.m., will feature the following speakers and their topics: Dr. Mario Esquillo, Increasing the predictability of dental implant success through digital technology in the diagnosis and treatment planning; Dr. Gary Brillo, timing of implant placement; Dr. Maria Erika Landayan, immediate implant placement in the esthetic zone; Dr. Mendelssohn Manalaysay, Dental implant complications: Fact vs. fiction; and Dr.Niel Echiverre, First impression last: Implant level and abutment.
