German envoy to speak in forum vs ocean litter

Improving the productivi­ty of fisheries and aquacultur­e is vital to reducing hunger and poverty for millions in the developing world.

Internatio­nal Coastal Clean Up is the world’s largest volunteer effort to ocean and waterways. Ocean trash is a serious pollution problem that affects the health of the people, wildlife and local economies.

Patterson Ngo, president and CEO of Mount Sea Resort, Rosario Cavite believes everyday should be a day to make the difference. Being in the resort and hotel business he firmly believes that people all need to become marine conservati­onists and help to look after the country’s marine habitats.

Mount Sea Resort in Rosario Cavite proudly presents Kapihan sa Mount Sea Breakfast Forum every Tuesday, 7 a.m. -10 a.m.

The speaker will be Ambassador Thomas Ossowski, president of the German Embassy Foundation.

The objective of the forum is to promote awareness on protecting the natural beaches, the loss of habitat for globally important species offshore and in shore.

The forum on Sept. 26 will discuss, examine and bring to light the critical topic The Fight Against Ocean Litter.”

Municipal environmen­t and natural resources officers are invited to join the breakfast forum.
