2 slain in QC shootings

Two men were killed by unidentifi­ed assailants in separate shootings in Quezon City on Tuesday night.

Police identified the fatalities as Romel Soilibio, 30, and Jun Macayero, 38.

Probers said their investigat­ion showed that Soilibio was in his tricycle along General Luis in Barangay Novaliches Proper when the gunman fired at him at around 6:30 p.m.

Soilibio died at the scene from a gunshot to the head.

Macayero was shot dead at his house along Kalinisan street in Barangay Gulod at around 9:30 p.m.

Probers said they have yet to establish if the killings were drug-related.

19 drug suspects fall

Meanwhile, at least 19 drug suspects were apprehende­d in separate operations in Metro Manila.

Twelve of the suspects were collared in antidrug operations in Manila on Tuesday night.

Members of the Police Community Precinct in Paco nabbed Louie Lesiges, 37; Jayson Addun, 24, and Carlos Penoso, 35, for playing the coin game cara y cruz. When frisked, the suspects allegedly yielded three sachets of shabu.

Five other drug suspects were arrested in a pot session at the corner of San Agustin and Batanes streets in Sampaloc, police said.

They were Amador Ramos dela Costa, 52, a taxi driver; Christian Relenas, 20; Renie Briones; 30; Marites de Guzman, 47, and Kim Jhay Osio Azanes, 29.

Mark Louie Ordono, 26, and Limuel Magdaraog, 20, were nabbed for alleged possession of shabu and a 9mm pistol along Hermosa street in Tondo.

Anti-narcotics operatives said they recovered dried marijuana leaves from Jayjay Humarang Macarang, 23, and Emercito Broqueza Rodriguez, 32.

In Caloocan, suspected drug pushers Jomil Roano, 25, and Ronald Bardaje, 19, were arrested by police during a sting in Libis, Barangay 12.

In Malabon, anti-narcotics agents nabbed Ryan Ramirez, 33, and Cesar Ponce III, 29, for alleged shabu posession.

Three women were apprehende­d in separate drug stings in Mandaluyon­g and Marikina yesterday.

They were Rosalien Boadon, Criselda Rafil and Jannel Manaois.
