Ayala hits sky for penthouse pricing

- VICTOR C. AGUSTIN

Ayala Land says it has “re-opened” and made available for sale a penthouse unit at the Garden Towers across Dusit Thani hotel and Glorietta 3 for P171.6 million (P158 million for cash), the same asking price in late 2012 when the project was launched.

Measuring 395 square meters, with another 66-sqm-meter balcony, unit 54A is one of the two “Sky Villa” units on the top floor when the first of the two towers shall be ready for turnover in 2019.

Three parking slots are included in the price. Any additional parking space may be had for P3 million.

The Garden Towers penthouse pricing seems to be a bargain compared to the P477million penthouse at Park Central Towers, the luxury twin condominium that Ayala Land is also building at the former Mandarin hotel site.

Then again, the three-level Park Central penthouse is over three times bigger at 1,635 sqm and comes with its own 281-sqm pool deck.

Already sold sight unseen, the yet-to-be-built Park Central penthouse holds the crown for the most expensive residential condo unit in the country today.

Heard through the grapevine

Former San Miguel Corp. chairman Andres Soriano III has sold one million ICTSI shares since the start of the year, raising easily over P100 million to help fund his expensive toy, the 72-footer racing yacht Alegre.
