This year’s Marvel Creative Day Out will make our fave universe and characters come to life through fashion and art, and it needs your help.

- — Tin Sartorio

Any OG comic book fan and convert will agree that it is a great time to be a Marvel stan. Besides the growing community, the series of big screen releases in the pipeline for the next few years is literally a dream about to come true. And now, with its second run in the country, the awardwinning Marvel Creative Day Out brings fans even closer to the Marvel Universe by not only inviting the creatives behind our fave stories, but also by inviting us to be part of the storytelling.

On Sept. 25 at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Marvel Asia’s VP of Brand Development C.B. Cebulski will be back to keep us in the loop on all things Marvel. Acclaimed Filipino Marvel artist Leinil Francis Yu will also take the stage again, while the VP of Creative for Disney China, Allen Au-Yeung, will share for the first time how Marvel stories and characters are made to exist IRL through fashion and product design.

The Marvel Universe has evolved from a comic-book brand to a solid global entertainment brand through the years mostly because of the overflowing love from its community. Lucky for us, this year’s Marvel Creative Day Out will have a fan exhibit and it’s finally time for your Iron Man papier-mâché mask to take its well-deserved spotlight. Any creative output is welcome here: sketches, paintings, sculpture, installation, and digital art. For the first time, they are also accepting designs in clothing, accessories, and literally any other Marvel-inspired product you can think of. Basically, you can make your dream Marvel merch and get to share it with people who are probably daydreaming of the same thing, too. Submission deadline is Sep. 15, but it’s not like you haven’t fantasized about this before. Time to get crafty.
