TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – A 14-year-old boy last seen with an alleged drug personality who was killed in a police operation in Cagayan has been reported missing.

Julious Sacobo, a resident of Barangay Piña Este in Gattaran, has been missing since Aug. 10, his father Jocirol said yesterday.

Jocirol said his son disappeared on the same day Vilmer Corpuz was killed in a sting in Barangay Naddungan. Prior to the incident, Sacobo reportedly accompanied Corpuz to do some errands.

Police said Corpuz was on the barangay drug watchlist.

However, Chief Inspector Rodel Tabulog, Gattaran police chief, denied Sacobo was with Corpuz during the drug sting.

Tabulog said they immediately launched search and rescue operations when Sacobo’s parents reported that he was missing. He said it took a few more days after the boy went missing before his parents sought their help.

Jocirol said he is not losing hope that he would find his son again.

Not due to drugs

Meanwhile, police said the killing of 17-year-old Vaughn Carl Dicang, who was found dead in a creek in Baguio City on Thursday, was not due to illegal drugs.

Senior Superintendent Ramir Saculles also ruled out robbery as the motive for the killing, saying Dicang’s personal belongings had been accounted for. A tablet was reportedly found floating near the body of the victim.

Saculles said autopsy results show that Dicang bore a head injury.

“It could have been due to a fall…accidental or voluntary…or
