EMotors, The Net Group team up for shuttle services

- By RICHMOND MERCURIO

Local manufacturer and assembler of electric threewheel vehicles EMotors Inc. is partnering with The Net Group (TNG) for the use of electric shuttles in Bonifacio Global City.

Under the partnership, TNG will utilize EMotors’ electric vehicles to serve the transport needs of its own staff, officers, and tenants in its two buildings in BGC, namely the Net Park and Net Lima.

“We want to help alleviate the stress of commuting for TNG staff and our tenants even within a short range of radius with the free point-to-point ZÜM electric shuttle, one that also supports our corporate sustainability goals,” TNG co-president Raymond Rufino said.

“The endeavor provides for a win-win-win situation for all stakeholders where the company, the people, and the city gain from the obvious benefits of using zeroemission, zero-noise electric vehicles,” EMotors president Elizabeth Lee said.

According to Lee, the partnership is also aimed at helping address three major social issues such as women’s welfare, livelihood creation, and environmental protection.

She said majority of the eshuttle drivers will be women and at the same time, drivers will get to earn a living that is “less taxing, more enjoyable, and fulfilling” that supports clean air efforts.

“By working together, we co-create mutual value. We connect with visionary leaders and citizens who put importance in transforming the way we live, work, play, one that jumpstarts a radical change in how we move around our communities and lessen our impact on the environment,” Lee said.

EMotors is the country’s first and only 100 percent Filipino-owned manufacturer and assembler of threewheeled zero-emission electric vehicles to be registered with the Department of Trade and Industry’s Motor Vehicle Development Program under EO 156.
